Rick Leweke
Global Head of Human Resources
Rick Leweke is global head of human resources for Visa Inc. In this role, Leweke is responsible for managing all human resources functions in the organization, including talent management, staffing, compensation and employee relations, as well as developing effective retention, diversity and performance management strategies.
Prior to joining Visa in June 2007, Leweke was vice chairman and chief human resources officer at Providian, where he was in charge of corporate-wide human resources and facilities. Subsequent to the acquisition of Providian by Washington Mutual in October 2005, he served as executive vice president of human resources for Washington Mutual card services.
Before joining Providian in January 2003, Leweke was executive vice president of human resources and administrative services at California Federal Bank. Previously, Leweke held various human resource management positions at Ford Motor Company over a 16-year period.
Leweke earned his M.B.A. from Michigan State University and a B.A. from Alma College.
