Visa, the global leader in payments, today announced significant milestones in the adoption of Visa's contactless technology feature, Visa payWave, demonstrating continued global momentum for the technology around the world. Visa payWave-enabled cards allow consumers to simply "wave and go" making every day transactions faster and more convenient. The technology is expanding to new merchant segments and is being added to an increasing number of Visa credit, debit and prepaid cards globally.

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) today announced that it is implementing processing and rate changes that will result in benefits for American consumers and fuel merchants frustrated by rising prices at the pump. Visa's new processing approach for fuel transactions will enable consumers to buy gas more easily and allow motorists and station owners to better avoid the risks and inconveniences associated with pump limits and holds on funds. Visa also will reduce interchange rates for fuel transactions, which can lower costs for oil companies and service stations and can be passed onto consumers at the pump.

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) today unveiled the Visa Business Network (www.visabusinessnetwork.com), the first-ever application dedicated to connecting small businesses on Facebook. The Visa Business Network has been created with small businesses, for small businesses, and is a unique environment built on Facebook Platform for the small business arena. To celebrate this initiative, Visa will award a total of $2 million in Facebook advertising credit to help small business owners reach new customers and drive new growth.

NFIB and Visa Inc. Announce Winner
The eighteen-year-old owner of a Washington state chocolate and coffee business, Peter Crabtree, has won the 2008 National Federation of Independent Business/Visa Inc. "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" Award. In recognition of his entrepreneurial achievements and spirit, Peter Crabtree of Kingston, has been awarded a $10,000 educational scholarship to help defray the cost of tuition at Seattle University. Peter was chosen for this top honor from more than 8,000 candidates who applied from across the country.
