Settling In and Loving Every Minute
Though she’s only worked at Visa since the beginning of 2009, Anusha feels as if the company has been part of her life for a long time. “I used Visa products as a consumer, and I was employed in the industry before I joined the company,” she notes.
In fact, Visa was a vendor of Anusha’s past employer. “I had always heard great things about working at Visa, so when an opportunity became available I jumped at the chance.”
“It’s definitely a big change from where I’ve worked before, but I really enjoy it. My friends will tell you that I’m constantly raving about the positive energy and bright people I’m surrounded by.”
Even the employee cafés are different from what she’s experienced in the past. There are two to choose from where Anusha works — one even has an on-staff sushi chef. “I always brought my lunch to my old jobs, but here I rarely bring lunch because the food is so good.” When needed, she can get a quick energy boost from one of the coffee shops or the onsite gym that even offers classes.
Beyond the food and amenities, Anusha has found the Visa Cares seminars for employees very informative and helpful, “especially the ones that focus on health issues and positive thinking.”
Most importantly, she’s thrilled with how much she’s learned and been able to contribute in such a short time. “Visa is one of the most dynamic companies I’ve ever seen – things move fast here!”
“I know it sounds like a cliché, but my work is challenging and fun.” She’s found being involved with the development of new commercial products invigorating and rewarding. Plus, her colleagues are very upbeat and always full of enthusiasm, and she also gets to work with teams in other areas.
Anusha also points to her manager as one of the main reasons she chose to work at Visa. “My direct manager is terrific. She is bright and approachable. What else could you ask for?”
