Corinna

Head of Global Arbitration and Compliance
CSS

Don’t Hate Her for Loving Her Job

“Things move fast at Visa,” says Corinna. “You have to be flexible and willing to enjoy the many challenges and opportunities that Visa affords.”

And even after 18 years with Visa, Corinna still loves her job. “Something new and exciting happens every day. I’m the type of person who gets bored easily. Visa provides the challenge I need. It really is fun to come to work.”

Originally hired as a Senior Analyst, she’s been promoted several times throughout the years and is now Head of Global Arbitration and Compliance — a goal she set for herself years ago and achieved in 2007. The position allows her to be involved with all developing technologies. “It’s inspiring to see that Visa is constantly thinking ahead and is an innovative leader in payment transactions.”

When she first joined Visa nearly two decades ago, Corinna was concerned that she might get lost in the crowd and that her efforts would go unrecognized. Instead, she found that Visa works to make sure this doesn’t happen by helping each employee set specific goals. “If you achieve or exceed those goals, Visa rewards you.”

Finding the Right Balance

With two children and a husband, who also works at Visa, striking a balance between work and life is essential. “I’ve grown dependent on Visa’s work/life programs to help me make each day go as smoothly as possible.”

As founder of a non-profit organization that works to better the local community by providing resources and support for people in abusive relationships, she’s a strong advocate of the Employee Volunteer Program. “I’m proud of Visa for encouraging its employees in their volunteer efforts.”

While Corinna describes herself as a self-motivated person who often defines her own goals, she still attributes much of her success to her Visa colleagues. “I can’t say enough great things about my team and the managers I’ve had along the way. The people I get to work with are a part of my extended family.”
