With the introduction of this new approval functionality, Fortnox has reached a new milestone in the evolution of its corporate card offering. This feature allows administrators or managers to approve or deny employee transactions, adding an essential layer of control and compliance for businesses, making it even easier to ensure purchases are accounted for correctly. Particularly beneficial for accounting firms, this feature reduces the time consultants spend chasing receipts, enabling them to focus on supporting their SME clients' growth.
Fortnox, known for being one of Europe's most forward-looking ERPs, chose to launch its corporate card in partnership with Mynt, a Swedish fintech company that offers a uniquely modular and modern take on expense management and embedded card services. The product has seen strong adoption among Fortnox’s extensive customer base since its introduction in October 2023.
The Product
Expense management is a major challenge for European SMEs. Employees often have to wait a long time for reimbursements—if they get reimbursed at all. Traditional corporate cards lack any form of expense management, and precious time has to be spent on administrative tasks. To address this, Fortnox and Mynt have partnered to offer a solution that integrates Visa corporate cards while leveraging Mynt’s technology platform, which automates transaction and expense handling. This combined product is designed to simplify and eliminate the hassle of expense management for businesses.
The Fortnox Corporate Card is issued through Mynt but is fully branded as a Fortnox product and integrated directly into the ERP system, which over 572,000 customers already trust and use daily. Cardholders can make purchases, snap a photo of the receipt, and have it automatically scanned and logged into their ERP system—eliminating the need to handle physical receipts, manual calculations, and the risk of human error. The Mynt platform, which Fortnox has integrated, automates these tasks for their customers.
