Introducing Team Visa

Since 2000, the Team Visa athlete program has championed more than 700 Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls, selected based on their athletic achievements, community involvement and alignment with Visa’s core values.

This year’s Team Visa lineup includes athletes representing 22 countries and 14 sports, with a combined total of 88 Olympic and Paralympic medals. The roster features standouts from around the world – including host country athletes like Leonardo Donaggio (Freestyle Skiing), Renè De Silvestro (Para Alpine Skiing), Lara Naki Gutmann (Figure Skating), Giacomo Bertagnolli (Para Alpine Skiing) and Sofia Goggia (Alpine Skiing). And long-time Team Visa athlete, Sarah Nurse (Ice Hockey, Canada) Taiga Hasegawa (Snowboarding, Japan) and Suzanne Schulting (Speed Skating + Short Track Speed Skating, Netherlands)

United States greats like Mikaela Shiffrin (Alpine Skiing) and Oksana Masters (Para Cross-Country Skiing and Para Biathlon) are also featured on this year’s roster. Shiffrin, a record-setting alpine skier with multiple Olympic and World Championship titles, has been a part of Team Visa since 2017, competing in three Olympic Winter Games.
